A resident of Spokane, Washington, Forrest Rodgers is an executive director whose roles involve fundraising, institutional growth, and forming partnerships with businesses, donors, and community stakeholders. During his career Forrest Rodgers has worked in higher education, nonprofit organizations, and business development, with much of his work connected to initiatives in Spokane.
Mr. Rodgers began his career at Pacific University, where he developed career-planning programs that connected students and faculty with industry opportunities. He later worked as a financial aid consultant at the University of Western States, advising students on funding options and scholarship opportunities.
Later, Forrest Rodgers led marketing efforts at Marylhurst University to increase operating revenue through employer-funded tuition, enrollment growth, and donations. He then served as a business development officer at the Portland Business Alliance. Mr. Rodgers designed and directed a program to recruit and relocate small and medium-sized manufacturers to the Portland metropolitan area.
Forrest Rodgers then transitioned into an assistant dean role at Willamette University Atkinson Graduate School of Management. He created partnerships with economic development agencies and international institutions, including organizations in Japan and China. Mr. Rodgers also secured funding for program support and technology initiatives.
Mr. Rodgers also served as executive assistant to the president and director of corporate development at Oregon State University. In this role, he managed donor relationships and secured major gifts and grants. Currently, Mr. Rodgers works as pro bono counsel, advising universities and nonprofits on strategic vision, financing models, marketing, and fundraising. Recently, he conducted a community engagement assessment to support the Moab Museum board discussions regarding a proposed $50 million capital campaign.
